My sweet sister-in-law stopped by in the first weeks that Virginia Kate was born to help us out and visit. She also was sweet enough to take Virginia Kate's first pictures. (I'm so glad she did b/c I don't know if I was together enough to have done so.) I love these first pictures!!!
Six months ago, we welcomed Virginia Kate to our family and our lives have been forever changed. I hate that I have not blogged, but we were busy being parents. I am going to try to catch you all up (hopefully I haven't lost too many followers) on the last six months. Virginia Kate was born on October 6, 2011 at 1:07 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs. 0 oz. and at 18 3/4 inches long!
Some friends from college couldn't make it to my "Feather the Nest" shower so they were sweet to plan a dinner shower for me at Sommer's Place. It was so nice catching up with everyone. There are some people that I have not seen since before I graduated!
On August 13th, my wonderful family and friends hosted a "Feather the Nest" shower for me at my brother and sister-in-law's house. It was wonderful. Everything was perfect.
Leigh Anne designed the invitations.
My friend, Melissa Hill made this gorgeous feather wreath to hang on the door at the hospital and at home.
Food was delicious and the flowers were GORGEOUS! Mrs. Rite Morris arranged all of the flowers!
My Aunt Melissa made this gorgeous AND tasty watermelon buggy!
Cute, cute cake by Cake Designs. Thanks Mrs. Alunda for providing this, it was perfect!
Joey's birthday was August 6th so we celebrated with a Top Gun party!! Guests came in their "Top Gun" attire while Top Gun played on the tv all night long. I think Joey had a pretty good time and I think everyone enjoyed their aviator party favors.
On our last night at Myrtle Beach, we decided to go to Medieval Times! Read up on the details of Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament on their website here. It was pretty neat, you have to eat with your fingers, because that's how they did it in "Medieval Times". And, there was a tournament between the Knights. It was very entertaining. haha.
It has been a busy Summer. In July, Joey, Brittan, and I went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We had a lot of fun. We went to eat one night and Brittan picked Joe's Crab Shack! Boy oh Boy was it delicious! We had lots of crab claws!!! You'll enjoy the captions on our bibs: Joey: Crab Daddy; Brittan: Hot & Steamy; and me: Feed me! lol
