Atlanta Day 2

On Saturday, Tracey wanted to visit a museum so we found the Atlanta History Center. The Atlanta History Center houses the Atlanta History Museum, Centennial Olympic Games Museum, a great Civil War Museum, Swan House, and Tullie Smith Farm House. Everything was very interesting and the Swan House was a great backdrop for pictures. It is said to be one of the most photographed places in Atlanta. It is the house of the Inman family, heirs to a cotton brokerage fortune. We really enjoyed the Atlanta History Center and if you are ever in Atlanta for more than a day, I think you should visit! It did take us over 5 hours to take in all of the exhibits. You can read more about all of the Atlanta History Center by clicking here.

Woodfire Grill and Kings of Leon

Tracey & I headed to Atlanta yesterday. Leigh, Christy, and Leigh picked us up at our hotel and we headed for dinner. Leigh Parker is a fan of Top Chef and one of the current season's contestants, Kevin Gillespie, owns a restaurant here in Atlanta. The food was delicious, the service was great, and we had such a great time. You can visit Woodside Grill's website here.

We also went to a Kings of Leon concert. It was awesome!!! They sounded the same as they do on the radio (which is very rare when playing live). The effects were very cool, too!

Here are some pictures and video (shaky video, sorry!)

Marshall

Marshall spent Saturday afternoon and night with JoJo and I. We had so much fun with him. Saturday we hung out at the house for a while and then went to Niffer's Place to eat where Marshy ate fried dill pickles (well the batter, not the pickle), grilled cheese, apples, and caramel pecan crunch ice cream. Then Sunday morning, KK took him to Hardee's for a biscuit! We had so much fun and hope that Marshall comes and stays with us sometime soon again!!! Enjoy the videos and pictures!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Just the other day I received my October edition of Self Magazine and there was a whole section of items that you can buy and a portion of the benefits will be donated to organizations that focus on Breast Cancer Awareness and finding a cure. I thought I would share a few items on the blog in case you wanted to splurge. I thought if anything, why not buy something you already need/want and have it go towards a great cause.

Labor Day

Joey & I took a river trip on Labor Day. We put our wave runners in at the Tallassee boat ramp (behind AES) and went to the Montgomery Marina and back. We had so much fun, it was nice to just have nothing to do, but enjoy the scenery. We are regretting one thing though and that is that we forgot our sunblock - Ouch! We're both very sunburnt and mad at ourselves for forgetting. Enjoy the pictures!

Shep's Going Away / B'day Celebration

Here are some pictures from Shep Morris' Going Away / B'day Celebration. Shep and Joey grew up together and Shep will be deployed. (He flies a chinook for the Army Guard.) We will miss Shep, but look forward to his return home around this time next year.

Very interesting...

Someone posted this link the other day and it is very interesting. It shows what the average person does in any given time throughout the day. I thought I would share.
