Shep's Going Away / B'day Celebration

Here are some pictures from Shep Morris' Going Away / B'day Celebration. Shep and Joey grew up together and Shep will be deployed. (He flies a chinook for the Army Guard.) We will miss Shep, but look forward to his return home around this time next year.

Very interesting...

Someone posted this link the other day and it is very interesting. It shows what the average person does in any given time throughout the day. I thought I would share.

Plurk with me...

I have found the neatest site...it is called Plurk! You can enter what you are doing in that moment and time (like many other social networks) and it makes a timeline so 6 months from now, you can go back and look at your "timeline" and see what you were doing on any particular day. Come follow me...

Your Favorite Movie...

Joey and I love our Netflix subscription. We have the "one movie at a time" subscription and we look forward to receiving ours each week. We usually watch 1-2 movies a week. We have a full queue, but are always looking for great movies to watch (some we haven't seen and some we have). With that being said, I've created a poll on the blog and we would like you to vote for your favorite. I compiled the choices from a list of "the best movies of the 80s, 90s, and today".

A few more photos from our road trip...

Congratulations Tori & Bryan!

My sister-in-law's sister, Tori, got married last weekend. It was a very beautiful wedding - check out Leigh Anne's blog for pictures. Joey & I took some pictures (not of the wedding, but of us before the wedding.) I must admit, we look pretty sharp (or at least Joey does) so I thought I'd share. ;)

Walkin' in Memphis

En route to Tallassee from Oklahoma, we stayed in Memphis at the Peabody. I wish I had some better pictures on my camera (battery was going dead), but I know Mrs. Alunda should have more pics so I'll post additional pictures when I get them. Click here to read about the legend of the Peabody Ducks.

We also ate at a wonderful Brazilian style steakhouse called Texas De Brazil Churrascaria...Talk about good food and LOTS OF IT! Just ask Byron - I think he ate every meat known to man that night. haha. I also put a hurting while I was there. I turned to Joey because I started feeling weird, I said do I have a fever? He busted out laughing, he said its just all the meat you've been eating. lol. Basically, here, there is a salad bar (not your average salad bar) - pretty much anything you want, plus sushi and lots of cheese. Then, you go to your table and you have a coaster type thing - one side is red, the other side is green. And as you all know - GREEN MEANS GO! When your coaster is on green, waiters bring around huge pieces of meat on swords and you take what you like. They had everything from Rack of Lamb to Filet Mignon and it was all delicious!!!

We also visited Beale Street and took a city tour. I can't begin to tell you all of the neat things and what a fun time we had in Memphis!

Oklahoma Finale

On our last day in Oklahoma, we visited the masonic temple in Guthrie and Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater where I had a very, very good hamburger. Then, we headed to Oklahoma City where we visited the National Memorial (for the Oklahoma City Bomb Site) and the Riverwalk a.k.a Bricktown. In the pictures, you will notice a statue, the name of the statue is "And Jesus Wept"...click here for more photos.

Wedding Celebration in Oklahoma

The reason for our trip to Oklahoma was for a wedding celebration. We watched fireworks on Saturday night (with out 3-D glasses). Here are some pictures and a video from that night!
