On This Day in History
Okay, so after my 30 days of blogging, I've got the blogging bug. It is addictive...I guess once you get used to doing something over and over and then you run out of topics, well, you look for some. I was reading a blog on blogging ideas. (Hahaha.) And, then I saw a suggestion for something that has happened in history. So, of course, I googled on this day in history. Here is what I found for today, November 28th. Pretty interesting!
Today in Television History:

1966 - The 200th episode of "The Andy Griffith Show" aired.
1997 - The final episode of "Beavis and Butt-head" aired on MTV.
Today in Music History:

1984 - Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" became the fourth single from the album "Purple Rain."
1956 - In Memphis, TN, Elvis Presley went to a matinee showing of "Love Me Tender."
Today in Sports History:

1977 - Larry Bird was introduced as "College Basketball's Secret Weapon" with a cover story in Sports Illustrated.
2002 - Michael Jordan (Washington Wizards) announced that he would retire for the third and final time at the end of the NBA season.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I googled Thanksgiving and here is what the wikipedia article on Thanksgiving read. I thought I would share. I edited some of it out because it would have been too long to look at everything on the wikipedia page. I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for.
Thanksgiving Day, known informally as Turkey Day, is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving was a holiday to express thankfulness, gratitude, and appreciation to God, family and friends for which all have been blessed of material possessions and relationships. Traditionally, it has been a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. This holiday has since moved away from its religious roots.[1]
In the United States, Thanksgiving Day falls on the fourth Thursday of November. In Canada, it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
The precise historical origin of the holiday is disputed. Although Americans commonly believe that the first Thanksgiving happened in 1621, at Plymouth Plantation, in Massachusetts, there is strong evidence for earlier celebrations in Canada (1578) and by Spanish explorers in Florida (1565).
Thanksgiving Day is also celebrated in Leiden, in the Netherlands. A different holiday which uses the same name is celebrated at a similar time of year in the island of Grenada.
Currently, in the United States Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, and in Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday of October .
Thanksgiving in the United States was observed on various different dates throughout history. By the mid 20th century, the final Thursday in November had become the customary day of Thanksgiving in most U.S. states. It was not until December 26, 1941, however, that President Franklin D. Roosevelt, after pushing two years earlier to move the date earlier to give the country an economic boost, signed a bill into law with Congress, making Thanksgiving a national holiday and settling it to the fourth (but not final) Thursday in November.[8]
Thanksgiving in Canada did not have a fixed date until the late 19th century, at which time it was typically held on November 6. After the end of World War I, Thanksgiving Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies were usually held during the same week. To prevent the two holidays from clashing with one another, in 1957 the Canadian Parliament proclaimed Thanksgiving to be observed on its present date.[7]

Day 30-A DREAM FOR THE FUTURE

Our dream for the future is to build our "dream" house. We will probably wait 10 or 15 years before pursuing that though.
Well, this is the last day of the 30 days of blogging. I think I did pretty good. It wasn't consecutive, but it only took me a little over a month to complete. I hope you have enjoyed!

I'm sure the list will be added on very much as the new year approaches.

Day 27-MY WORST HABIT
My Worst Habit would probably be not "chewing" on my nails, but just picking at them. I gave up cigarettes a long time ago, so that was my only other vice.
As for Joey, I don't know of any bad habits he has.
