I am a member of the 2012 Leadership Elmore County (LEC) class. We had our graduation at Tallassee City Hall. At this graduation, we presented the Elmore County Food Pantry with a check for almost $8,000.00. Each class of LEC takes on a "project", this year we wanted to raise funds for the Elmore County Food Pantry (who is a separate entity from the Montgomery Food Bank). Our project was a Taste of Elmore County. We had great success with this project and hope that the Food Pantry will be able to continue this event each year.
