Rattlesnake Rodeo Opp, Alabama
Joey and I were invited to go to the Rattlesnake Rodeo to see Skyler perform. Skyler is a young man from Bayou La Batre, Alabama who moved to Prattville, Alabama where he worked at Larry Puckett changing oil. Larry Puckett's niece met Skyler when she was at school in South Alabama and brought him home and he became a "member" of their family. He is moving to Nashville to follow his dreams. Skyler has a wonderful story and he didn't get to where he is now the easy way. I loved the "quote" it said on his cd and that was "I want everyone to know they can make their dreams happen...honesty, hardwork, and respect for yoursef and your fellow being...that's my message."-Skyler You can visit Skyler's myspace - Click Here

J.W. (a.k.a. Jughead Willie) turns 27!
Our friend J.W. Morris turned 27 this past week so we took him out to eat at Santa Fe Cattle Co. in Auburn. If you haven't eaten at Santa Fe before, you must try! I have been there a few times and the food and service have always been great. J.W. was treated with a "dirt" pie, pudding type dessert. It was delicious!

Canada Day 3
Finally! I got up on some skis without falling too much! Thank goodness Joey encouraged me to agree to have lessons. We had so much fun. We did try another mountain and our ski instructor Sophie was awesome! (She also mentioned that the mountain we were on before is a little harder for beginners so I didn't feel so bad about the burrito incident. lol) Enjoy the pictures!

Banff Canada Day 2
If you read the earlier post, Banff Canada Day 1, you already know that I got off to a shaky start at skiing. So we decided that we would take it easy on our second day. We looked around some shops and we took the gondola to the top of the mountain. Enjoy the pics!

Seen in a storefront in downtown Banff (We thought it was pretty cute!)

Interesting T-Shirt Display in a storefront in downtown Banff

You can't see very well because of the glare, but in the window is a wolf's head. (Not a real wolf's head!)

Joey & I

In the gondola on the way up...He only looks calm and collected!

If you haven't seen this on my facebook page, this is my "What are you getting me into again, Joey?!?!" look.

Joey looks like he is in a painting!

Joey and I again

Gorgeous!

This is me taking advantage of the beautiful backdrop!

And, again!

Joey

Us again

hahaha! This is me "ralphing" (not really) along the side of the mountain. If you could have seen how high up we were, you probably would want to "ralph" too!

A gondola on its way down.
