Beth Thornhill

Beth & Joey have known each other for a little over 28 years now (haha). Beth Scarborough Thornhill is Joey's sister. It is always fun to hear the stories about Joey & Beth when they were young. Most recently, Beth was talking about how her grandmother Fiz would pose them for pictures when they visited her and Poppy Ed in Huntsville - I'd love to get a view of those pictures! Beth, Byron, & Marshall live in Clanton and have a website of their own - www.thethornhillsonline.com. Joey & I are very excited to have the whole Thornhill gang in the wedding!

This Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Joey & I sure did! We got several items off of our registry and I got Joey a coffee maker that grinds the beans and he got me a wii! So, to put it plainly -- we were jacked up on coffee and playing wii sports. We can barely move, yes I will repeat that - the wii is very tiring. We've played tennis, bowled, played baseball, and even boxed! I'm tired and ready to take it easy...

Oil Pulling

If you know me, you know that I will try anything at least once. Also, if you've been following the blog, you'll notice that my sinuses have been giving me major problems over the past several weeks. I have tried acupuncture for my sinuses and I did have some improvement- I know you probably think I'm crazy, but it did work, but its too expensive! Ashley Moon suggested I stay away from dairy, which I am going to, but I also googled some information and "oil pulling" came up. Have you ever heard of such? It is supposed to have several benefits, for your skin and it is said to also help for sinus problems! Well, guess what? I'm trying it. I'll let you all know if it works out. Here's some of the information that I found online about oil pulling:

Oil pulling involves swishing oil around in one's mouth to remove bodily toxins. It is reported to help alleviate skin disorders, gum diseases and other ailments. It's simple and requires only cold-pressed sunflower or sesame oil, so even if you are skeptical, it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

Leslie Causey Whaley

I met Leslie when I began school at AUM. We were in the same sorority and were roommates for a little while. We've kept in touch ever since. Leslie & I are probably most well known together as video game playing buddies (gotta love that Nintendo) and we also can do a mean routine to "Dunkie Butt." hahaha. Sorry, Leslie - I had to. Leslie now lives in Prattville with her husband Mike and her two children, Noah and Maddie. A special thanks to Leslie for my fabulous collection of jewelry - she sells Premier Designs Jewelry. Joey & I are very excited to have Leslie in the wedding. Thanks for always being there for me!

Alex Harris

If you've been following the blog, you know that we have been writing interesting stories about our wedding party and how we became friends with them all.

Alex & I have known each other for around 14 - 15 years. She went to school in Reeltown, while I went to school in Tallassee. We stayed friends throughout the years and she is now married and living in Savannah, Georgia. She works for the college that she graduated from - Savannah College of Art and Design. Alex & I have been to New York City together (thanks to Ashley Moon:)) and I also visited Prague where her grandmother is from. We've had some fun times together and thank you so much for being a great friend and a part of our wedding day!

Does anyone else have this problem?

Here lately - let's say the past month or so, my head has felt like it was about to cave in. My sinuses!!!! Bloody nose, headaches, nothing makes it better! I know, it seems easily repairable - just go to the doctor, but I want a permanent fix. I'm sick of having to go to the doctor every 6 months every time the weather changes just for them to give me a prescription that doesn't really work any better than the over-the-counter would. The ear, nose, and throat doctor did encourage me to use the "sinu-pot", as had Leigh Parker before I went to the doctor. It does help, but this headache will not go away! Any suggestions to help with that??????

Janna Stephens Ellis

Janna & I have known each other for around 14 years. We met at school - she was a year younger than me, but we were in the same P.E. class. I think the only physical exercise we got was running our mouths. haha. Janna & I used to ride around in my mom's Buick Skylark - you can not imagine how cool we were. lol.

Janna is married to Jeffrey Ellis and they have 3 children, Tyler, Brodie, and Olivia Kate. Tyler & Brodie love to dress up as superheroes. Olivia Kate was born with an enlarged heart and is a tough little girl. She is doing good at home.

I am so glad Janna will be in the wedding and thank you for being such a good friend.

Christmas Countdown

I can't believe it is already time to think about Christmas, but Thanksgiving is gone and Christmas is not far away!!!

Countdown Clocks, Christmas Countdowns at WishAFriend.com

Found it...kind of...

In an earlier blog, I mentioned the Saturday Night Live skit with Justin Timberlake and Beyonce. I found the video - kind of, not the exact skit, but I guess this is the best that you tube could get by with without having NBC take it off. I wish there was the actual skit I could share, it is so much more funny - for those of you that have seen it - Introducing "The Dancers." hahaha.

Katie Austin

Joey has been working hard this "ginning season" so I decided I would go ahead and get back on track with telling a little about our wedding party, specifically my bridesmaids. When Joey has a little more time at home, I'll get him to write up stories about his groomsmen.

I met Katie Daniels (Austin now) at the awesome DQ in Auburn. I had just moved to Auburn and was a shift manager for the DQ in AU (which is no longer there by the way) while I went to school at Southern Union. Well, I met Katie and she was still in high school. After I left Auburn, Katie & I kept in touch and have been the closest of friends since. She's lived in several places since - one being Clarksville, near Nashville, since it is a fairly short drive, I would drive up and we would stroll the streets of downtown.

One of my most fun memories is a road trip that Katie & I took to go to a John Mayer concert. We went to North Carolina. hahaha. If you know me, you should know that I have a slight infatuation with John Mayer, although it has faded over the years. Poor Katie, the whole concert she had to watch me with my mouth open, saying Oh my Gosh over and over!!

I also spent New Year's in New York City with Katie when she lived there while her husband was overseas. It was so much fun! Katie is married to Marc Austin and they live in Harker Heights, Texas currently. Marc is a career Army soldier and will shortly be leaving to go back overseas.

Thank you Katie for being such a wonderful friend and thank you Marc for keeping my friend happy (I see the goo goo eyes she gets every time she talks about you or looks at you) and thank you for all that you do for our country!!

Back on Track...

It has been a little while since I've posted anything about the wedding. If you ever have planned a wedding, you know why - there is always a lapse (or so I hear I'm not alone). I do plan on getting back to posting the blogs about each of the grooomsmen and bridesmaids in the wedding.

Well, we're back on track and we got our tables, chairs, chandeliers, tents, lanterns, and all other miscellaneous decorating stuff that needed to be rented. Now, we just need to get up with the caterer to find out what tables she needs... We also figured out what we needed as far as bathrooms, etc. Our guitarist and band member, Lucky Jackson, just had hand surgery, but has had the procedure before and will be ready to go in April, but we just have to get everything squared away with him.

We still haven't decided on the first dance song, still taking suggestions - all the songs that mean something to us, aren't really "first dance" songs. Any suggestions are welcome...

Anyway, my point is, I'm in full wedding planning mode...

New songs...

You may notice that I've put a few new songs on the playlist. Some of them are just new songs that I've heard that I like, but most of the new ones are from the Twilight soundtrack. If you've read the blog recently, you'll notice that I've become (um, what's a good word??, I guess I'll use "obsessed") with the Twilight series. So, enjoy! There's also some information about Twilight at http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/.

HOTTT POCKETSSS

We love the comedian Jim Gaffigan. Beth, Byron, Joey & I went to see him in Nashville a couple years back and he is just too funny. I thought I would share one of his funniest and most famous jokes...

Saturday Night Live

Okay, so if you missed this past Saturday's SNL show, then you missed a good laugh. I watched it and showed the video to Joey on Sunday, but now I can't find it anywhere b/c of NBC's copyright. Not even on the NBC site, but anyway...The skit was with Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and some of the SNL cast. I wish I had the video to share, but all I have is this photo.

This was taken from www.stuff.co.nz -

Beyonce says she is "in awe" of Justin Timberlake after the fellow pop star played a camp back-up dancer with her in a skit on hit TV show Saturday Night Live.

Timberlake, wearing a black leotard and high heels, played one of three dancers who annoyed Beyonce as she tried to record a video for her new song, Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).

"I still can't believe he did that," Beyonce told People.com.

"He was incredible. We rehearsed it two times. He picked up the choreography. He has this photographic memory. He could probably kill it if he wanted to."

The song Single Ladies appears on Beyonce's new album, I Am ... Sasha Fierce.

The SNL skit had received more than 600,000 hits before being removed by YouTube.

For Thanksgiving

I saw this quote online and it reminded me of Thanksgiving, although we should think this way all year long...

"When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food, and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself."

(From Tecumseh Shawnee Quotes)

A Christmas Carol

Joey & I went to Alabama Shakespeare Festival's, A Christmas Carol, the musical on Sunday. (Thanks for the tickets WTLS!) I absolutely loved it and so did Joey! I was most amazed at the set and the costumes! I don't want to spoil the whole production (of course you probably already know the Christmas Carol story), but this take on it was especially entertaining! It just reminds me what a special thing we have in Montgomery that I know I take for granted. I wish I would go to more plays/musicals there! If you don't have tickets already, I highly recommend you buy some and go before there all sold out! (You can win tickets at www.tallasseetimes.com.)

Twilight

My cousin Erica told me about the book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. She was nice enough to let me borrow the book and I read it in only a few days. I couldn't put it down! There is a series and I'm currently reading the 2nd book - New Moon. I highly recommend this book!!

Here is a review I found online for Twilight...
When her mother gets remarried, Bella moves in with her father, Charlie, who lives in a small town on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, where it rains nearly all the time. There she meets Edward, a strange and gorgeous boy from a strange and gorgeous family, and soon she has fallen madly in love with him. She also discovers that he and his family are vampires, and this bothers her not at all. It bothers Edward, though; even though they had long ago sworn off human blood in favor of animal predators, he still worries for her safety, both with him and with his family, who control their lust for human blood only by willpower.

Halloween Night in AU

The first Halloween that Joey & I were dating, we packed up (with his family) and went to Auburn (School of Architecture) to see the fabulous pumpkins. Each year the architecture students carve pumpkins and put them on display. There are really some intricate designs! This year, mom, Georgia Anne, Jack & I went. I've attached some photos. Georgia Anne and I's favorite is the joker from Batman. You may have to look closely to figure it out. Georgia Anne noted one that had the AU symbol was an "Aubren" one. lol.

Bridezilla???

I had a dream last night that had me laughing this morning. Joey & I were at a bridal party being given for us. Well, In the dream I had not seen the invitations and when I looked at them, there were words spelled wrong, typos, and white out over the typos! What does this mean? haha. I guess it means I might become a bridezilla! Just kidding. Don't worry about that - I am very particular, but I'm not that. Have you ever watched those Bridezilla shows? Oh my!!!

Are your speakers on?

Are your speakers on? If not, turn them on now and you must jam out to the song Electric Feel by MGMT - its the song that is first on the player here. I don't know what it is about this song, but Joey & I both absolutely love it. Don't you just want to get up and dance? lol. Well, every time this comes on, Joey & I have to dance around the kitchen. Actually, I'm listening right now and it is like I have an uncontrollable urge to dance, wait - I am dancing in the chair. Okay, so if the thought of Joey & I dancing around doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will. haha.

Ipod Touch

Okay, if you've been around me, you may have heard me say a few times that I wouldn't mind having the Apple i phone, but it would be nice if they had all the kinks out before and if they weren't just on AT&T. And it would also be nice if they didn't cost an arm and a leg! Well, my cousin Erica has gotten an itouch - it is basically the iphone minus the phone part. Wow, this thing is awesome. Games, internet, songs, whatever you want.

Columbus, She's a wonderful bridesmaid.

If you've been reading, you'll see that we are telling special stories about our wedding party. See previous blogs for those stories about the best man and maid of honor. I have so many funny stories about me and Ashley Moon, but I thought of this one this morning and would go ahead and blog about Ashley Moon. I met Ashley when I was 20 years old. We both started working at Deer Creek around the same time and we had some good times. But one of the funniest things I remember is Ashley Moon talking to us about how people think she's a lot less smart than she really is. She said, you know, I'm a lot like that Columbus guy. You know, the detective? He goes around acting real naive, but he knows what is really going on! haha. (What she really meant to say was Columbo, but you just had to be there.) Ashley and her husband Brad have been such good friends to us and share a fondness for Our Place Cafe. Thanks for being such great friends! Ashley, we can't wait for you to be in the wedding and Brad, I expect you to sing to me!

Love Tank and Falling in Love...

If you are following this blog, you should know that I'm reading The Five Love Languages. The last couple of chapters that I have read are about our love tanks and falling in love. I have enjoyed reading this book because it reaffirms what a special relationship Joey & I have. The book talks about the "falling in love" stage where everyone is goo goo gaga over each other and how we should recognize the in-love experience for what it is - a temporary emotional high - and now pursue "real" love with our significant other. Here's a passage about "real" love:

"That kind of love is emotional in nature but not obsessional. It is a love that unites reason and emotion. It involves an act of the will and requires discipline, and it recognizes the need for personal growth. Our most basic emotional need is not to fall in love but to be genuinely love by another, to know a love that grows out of reason and choice, not instinct. I need to be loved by someone who chooses to love me, who sees in me something worth loving."

Marshall Thornhill

Marshall had a doctor's appointment yesterday so Mrs. Alunda and I headed to Montgomery so we could bring him home with us and Beth could go back to work. Marshall went with us to the Gin to see Uncle Joey. We had lots of fun. I fell asleep though! :( haha.

Joey's Dad and Best Man

Joey's dad will be his best man in our wedding in April. I asked Joey what was one of the most important memories that he shared with his dad. He said that he really enjoyed all of the times his dad spent teaching him to work on cars, trucks, and pretty much anything mechanical. Pictured here are Joey & his dad with his dad's new John Deere Tractor.

The Five Love Languages

When Joey and I became engaged to be married, I had a friend and fellow Camp Smile A Mile volunteer mention a book called "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman to me. He said that it was a great book and a must read before Joey and I got married. Well, I went to church with Mrs. Alunda and Mrs. Steudemann had the book, I told her that I had heard it was a great book. She was about to donate it to the church library, but gave it to me instead and when I get finished reading it, I'll send it to the church library. The first chapter is titled: "What happens to love after the wedding?" While I don't want to blog about every aspect of the book, I thought it would be good to share some of the main topics here on the blog. This chapter talks about how the author was on a plane ride when a man asks him what do you do for a living? He tells him about being a marriage counselor and the question arises "What happens to love after the wedding?" The man explains he didn't treat his wife any differently than before the wedding and reassured her often of how beautiful she was and how much she meant to him. The problem is people have overlooked one fact: People speak different love languages and that there are 5 basic love languages - Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. If we want our significant other to feel the love that we are trying to communicate, we must express it in THEIR love language. Have you ever thought about this? I haven't. I tell Joey I love him all of the time, but maybe he just wants me to cook him something to show it. haha. I'm going to continue to read and post blogs here as I come to each new chapter.

Best Woman a.k.a. Maid of Honor

So I mentioned that we would be posting stories about our bridesmaids and groomsmen so I figured I would start with my sister, my maid of honor, Beth. Before I was born, my parents told my brother and sister that they could name me. If I was a boy, my brother got the honor, and if I was a girl, then my sister got the honor. Well, as you see, I was a girl so Beth got the honor. At the time her 2 best friends were Kameron and Brittany. So, she wanted to name me Kameron Brittany. Well, my parents wanted to shorten it up so, they came up with Kami Brittan. Beth told me a story about when I was a baby - she wanted so badly for me to be in the bed with her so she crawled in my crib and grabbed me - problem was that she was only 6 and she couldn't carry me. She tried and there I go bump!!, right on the floor. She freaked out and left me there laying on the floor. haha. So, if you ever wonder why I act the way I do sometimes, it is truly because I fell on my head as a child. Thanks Beth! lol. I've attached a picture of Beth here and if you have to take a double take, you won't be the first. While Beth & I still have trouble thinking we look so much alike that people can't tell us apart, we hear it all of the time. Thank you Beth for participating in our big day. We love you!

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

I thought it would be nice if I posted some blogs about each of our bridesmaids and groomsmen here. I thought it would be neat to share stories of how we became friends with them all. So be on the look out over the next couple of weeks - we'll be sharing these stories.

Olivia Kate Ellis and Blake Parker

Janna and Jeffrey Ellis' little girl Olivia Kate Ellis was baptized on Sunday and Joey and I went. It was so sweet. Olivia Kate is the sweetest little girl. She was born with a heart defect. I know that Janna and Jeffrey could tell you a lot more about the defect than I can, so instead of trying to explain it and getting it wrong, I won't. Janna and Jeffrey found out about Olivia Kate's defect through an ultrasound. Another sweet baby, Mr. Blake Parker was born at Baptist East where they found he also had heart defect. Again, Jeremy and Leigh would be able to elaborate on the details. While the two sweet babies have different defects, they both will have surgery next week. Blake's surgery will be in Memphis on October 21st and Olivia Kate's will be the following day in Memphis. Dr. Knott-Craig performing both. Please keep these babies and their families your in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Birthday Marshall!

I'm a day late and a dollar short. Yesterday was a busy day for me, so I hate I didn't put this up on Marshall's actual birthday, but better late than never!!!
Happy Birthday Pictures, Images and Photos
Marshall is Joey & I's nephew - he is the sweetest little thing and we wish we could see him more. It was so nice to see him last Saturday at his birthday party. I bet he is still playing with all the toys that he received!

Bridesmaids' Dresses and Flowers

Most of my bridesmaids have their mix and match outfits picked out for the wedding. They all are going to look so good. The colors are black and ivory and they'll be carrying blue hydrangea balls (see above.) We also have the music picked out for what I will walked down the isle to, etc. I'll leave that as a surprise. Our engagement announcement will also be on www.tallasseetimes.com this week. When these things start to come together, it is just a reminder of how the day will be here before we know it.

Wondering Where You Are

I love, love, love the song Wondering Where You Are by Tyrone Wells. If you haven't heard it before, just turn the volume up because I've made it my profile song here. This is the sweetest song. I love the part about I hope you like Stevie Wonder. haha. Oh the lyrics - how sweet!!! Here is just a portion of the song that I love... Enjoy listening!!

I've been waiting all my life for you
I've been wishing on every shining star
I've been watching out of my window
Wondering where you are Wondering where you are

My heart's my only treasure
I've been saving it for your pleasure
I can't wait to give my heart to you

Georgia Anne & Jack

Monday, I kept Jack while Georgia Anne was at school. I've posted a few pictures here. He was a good sport and liked going to visit Joey at work most of all. I gave him a hotdog wienie, but he wouldn't eat it with his hands, he needed a fork!

Thursday, I picked Georgia Anne up from school around 12:45 p.m. and we headed to McDonalds where I got Joey & I's lunch and Georgia Anne got a happy meal with a strawberry milkshake. We went to the gin where Joey works and ate with him and then he gave us a tour of the grounds. It was so loud in the gin, we didn't do much there, but we did get to walk around and touch the cotton modules where Georgie got a piece of cotton and politely stuffed it back in the module. Joey let her keep it though. Then Georgia Anne and I went back to the house we had a very short fashion show. Then she started taking my flowers and putting them in several different "vases" - I can see she is already taking after her mother. ;) Note the flowers in the shoe. haha.

Fall

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love the change of weather (not too hot and not too cold) and I can't wait to see the leaves change color. I love the colors of fall and all of the events that come with Fall (just to name a few -football games, various fall festivals and events - trade day, syrup sopping.) Joey is extremely busy during this time of year because with Fall comes cotton farmers picking cotton, which in turn Joey and his co-workers pick up and gin. :) If you've never taken a tour of the gin that Joey works at, you should! It is amazing the technology that is used to gin cotton! Oh, and I hope you like the updated Fall background! Happy Fall!!

First Dance Song

Since Joey & I have been engaged, we've been thinking about what song we would use for our first dance. I have a few ideas about what we could do and so does Joey, but it seems that we always run into some obstacle or the lyrics end up being something that aren't really happy. haha. So, I thought I would ask for suggestions - and we don't want something that everyone has danced to before. We would like something really unique. Yeah, I know we (mostly just me) are difficult. If you have any ideas, please post them here! I appreciate your help.

More Cake

Wow! Mom, Mrs. Alunda and I went and tasted more wedding cake! Oh my gosh, I thought I was going to turn into a wedding cake. We went to Peggy McKinney's and her cake and fillings were delicious!! I think we have found a winner (the caramel filling sold me)! While Joey and I haven't signed on the dotted line, I'm pretty sure that we'll go with this one. Let's see, it will be a 5-tier cake (the top layer being vanilla cake with caramel - so we can eat that on our first anniversary - did I say I LOVED this caramel filling??) We'll also have another layer of the vanilla and caramel. Then each of the other layers will be something different - one will be her "wedding" cake with is a vanilla lemon almond cream cheese pound cake (OMG!!!), another layer will be lemon cheese and another will have strawberry filling (again oh wow!). I know you're getting hungry just reading this. haha.

Wordle

The things that amaze me. I was playing around with the blog today and I was looking for cute save the dates to post here. I came across another bride's website and she had used wordle to post her save the dates. I had fun playing around with several different fonts, colors, etc. It is a neat site and you don't have to use it just here, they can be used for just about anything. I think you'll have fun playing around with it - so go for it!

Check it out at www.wordle.net.

Need a good laugh? Burn after reading then...

Joey & I laid low this weekend, but yesterday I had the idea that we should go to a movie sometime soon. So, we decided to do that yesterday afternoon. There were two movies that we were considering watching, but we narrowed it down to Burn After Reading with George Clooney and Brad Pitt. (The other was Righteous Kill and we figured that the movie theater would be packed. There is nothing more annoying than paying close to $9.00 per movie ticket and then have a packed house with cell phones ringing, etc.) I am so glad we chose this movie, I haven't laughed so hard in a while. Keep in mind, this movie isn't for kids, but if you need a good laugh, it is funny. Brad Pitt was my favorite character and Joey loved the guys that portrayed CIA agents.

Watch the trailer!

What's a blog without?

What's a blog without music? One thing that I can do for hours and hours is listen to music. So, it seems that it would only be natural that I would have music on this blog. I've started a playlist with some of my favorite songs, and Joey's too! I have to admit that most of the songs on this playlist are a little on the "softer" side than the ones I have on my social network playlist. I'll add some rock before it is over, I'm sure. Oh and if you ever get a hankering for 80's music, tune into to WTLS on 1300 AM / 106.5 FM or www.1300wtls.com.

While I was adding songs to my playlist, I googled "Best Lyrics of All Time." Here's a little of what I found:

(I found this at www.spinner.com.)
Best Opening Lyrics:
"You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips." - The Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Loving Feeling
"Hello darkness my old friend" - Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence
"I was dreaming when I wrote this" - Prince's 1999
"Tommy used to work on the docks" - Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer (I love this song!)
"She's a good girl, loves her mama, loves Jesus and America too." - Tom Petty's Free Fallin

Enjoy!

Cake, China, and more

Today, My mom, Mrs. Alunda, and I ventured to Montgomery. After eating at Cracker Barrel, we went to look at china and get some information on wedding cakes. For my everyday china, I decided on Butler's Pantry by Lenox. I chose the Butler's Pantry style that has the "shell". If you've seen the china before, you know what I'm talking about. Leigh Anne had told me how beautiful it was before and it was indeed beautiful. For our fine china, I chose the Platinum Beaded Pearl by Nikko. While the pictures on the Internet are not as detailed, it is beautiful in person. Then, off to Cake Designs and Icing Illusions we went. The cake was delicious and we had fun looking at all of the possibilities!

Engagement Pictures, etc.

Joey & I have been working on several aspects of the wedding and getting everything planned. He's been calling around for bands. We were planning on using a gentleman that played at his surprise party a couple of years ago. We were going to have Lucky Jackson play at the ceremony and then the band that he plays with to play at the reception. We've been having a little trouble getting in touch with Lucky so we are looking to others. If you know of anyone, please send your suggestions to me. :) In late July, we had our pictures made for our engagement announcement. Josh Moates with Kimbox Photography is our photographer and he did an awesome job. I do not like having my picture made, but Josh made it fun and a little less stressful.

Our Engagement

Joey proposed on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Yes, that is right - on a Wednesday. I had been at home sick with a virus. As I lay on the couch (looking lovely I must say) - I was sporting what one of my best friends, Ashley Moon, calls "my disco pajamas" (They are black with metallic stripes) and a t-shirt. He asked me what kind of ring I wanted. I thought, what in the world is he asking me this for at a time like this. haha. So of course, I said I don't care - anything. And he insisted no, there was a kind that you wanted. (Joey and I had talked about this, but not in detail.) And I said, whatever, really. And then he asked wasn't it a channel setting? That's when a red light went off - I'm thinking - now what does he know about channel setting - I don't even know much about channel setting - I just knew that my fingers were fat and a solitaire made them look that much more fat. haha. I said yes, I guess so...then he said well, I have a question for you - and that's when he got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. He had picked it out all on his own, he did such a good job!! Needless to say, this was at the most unexpected moment and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I always was convinced he would do it when I least expected it and that's exactly how I wanted it.
